"The Land of 10,000 Lakes" beckons you to take a glimpse of its inner beauty and elegance. More commonly known as Minnesota, the state has tremendous adventures to appease everyone. Some say the cultural activities in Minnesota’s largest cities, Minneapolis and St. Paul, are the best this side of New York City. It’s hard to argue against this with the "Twin Cities" wide assortment of art museums, including the Walker Art Center; terrific performing arts centers like the Guthrie Theater, which specializes in staging Shakespeare plays; and the Northrop Auditorium which attracts ballet and dance troupes from across the globe.
With 10,000 lakes it is hard to not discuss the fun and thrilling adventures one can have on the water. Ice fishing is extremely popular in the winter months with hundreds of little fishing shacks lining local lakes. When the Minnesota ice and snow melts and the shacks are replaced with boats, jet skis and swimmers, the lakes really come to life. To rest up after a fun day on the water, pitch a tent or drive your RV up to one of the many campsites in the state.
