Registered Respiratory Therapist needed in Park Ridge, IL

Sunbelt Staffing is now hiring in the Park ridge, Illinois area for a Registered Respiratory Therapist to join our travel team. This is a 13-week contract assignment working 36-hours per week at one of our partner facilities. 

Responsibilities:

1. Patient Assessment:

2. Conduct thorough patient assessments to evaluate respiratory conditions, including pulmonary function, oxygenation, and ventilation.
3. Collaborate with healthcare providers to develop individualized respiratory care plans.

4. Therapeutic Interventions:

5. Administer respiratory treatments, medications, and therapies as prescribed by physicians.
6. Provide airway management, including intubation and extubation, and assist with mechanical ventilation.

7. Diagnostic Testing:

8. Perform and interpret diagnostic tests such as arterial blood gases, pulmonary function tests, and chest X-rays to assist in the diagnosis and monitoring of respiratory conditions.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy or a related field.

Current state licensure as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT).

Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
