Welcome to a little spot of heaven in the heart of the American south, the state known for its peaches, Georgia. The vast and gorgeous city stretches from the foothills of the Appalachians to the flat and marshy Florida border. The state is known for its cities such as Atlanta and Savannah but is also steeped in the classic, southern small town feel. Atlanta is truly the heart of the south. The city that gave us Coca-Cola, "America’s" Team-the Atlanta Braves and the 1996 Olympics dazzles it visitors with a majestic and sparkling downtown with world class shops, restaurants and sites.
Atlanta had risen to prominence just before the Civil War, but Savannah holds the distinction of being Georgia’s first state. This is seen with the number of historical sites within the city. These sites may best be seen while riding on a scenic journey on the Old Town Trolley. The trolley takes you throughout the city’s historic district, which is one of the largest in the country.
