Welcome to "Big Sky Country." Looking around at the majestic mountains and seemingly endless horizons, it is easy to see why the state was given this moniker. Hundreds of millions of years ago, dinosaurs roamed the areas that know make up Montana. This heritage is emphasized here and that is especially the case by following the Montana Dinosaur Trail. The trail is made up of 15 different stops and allows you to find all the bones, fossils and evidence of these large creatures.
If you would rather let your mind wander but still take in the sights and sounds of nature, try bicycling or hiking on the many nature trails in Montana. When the sun grows weaker and the warmth gives way to snow and cold, Montana does not shy away from fun. Those majestic mountains allow great skiing and snow boarding for the snow enthusiasts and thrill seekers alike.
