Maryland is a tremendous microcosm of America. A gorgeous eastern coastline on one side and a historic and beautiful mountain filled western side is filled with tremendous and exciting adventures in between-oh and don’t forget the nation’s capital to the south! See one of the most historical sites in America, Fort McHenry. During the War of 1812, the Fort was the site of a prolonged bombing attack by the British. A poet noticed that a humongous flag was still intact and flying “at dawn’s early light.” It so moved him, he wrote the Star Spangled Banner.

Baltimore has had a rejuvenation over the last few decades lead by the resurgence of its waterfront. What better way to dine on those tasty and famous Maryland crab cakes than while lounging on a relaxing bench overlooking Chesapeake Bay? While there, check out Babe Ruth’s birthplace and the Baltimore Orioles’ beautiful stadium, Oriole Park at Camden Yards, which has been a trendsetter in baseball for more than a decade.
