This contract role offers a chance to work alongside experienced respiratory leadership in a facility equipped as a Level 1 Pediatric Trauma Center, Certified Stroke Center, and Chest Pain Center.

Schedule/Hours:

  • Contract position; details regarding shift schedule will be discussed during the interview.
  • Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years recent Respiratory Therapy experience, ideally within a resource team.
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) with valid North Carolina license.
  • Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP.
  • Proven competency in ventilator management (IPPV/NIPPV).
  • Background in settings such as ED, PICU, Peds CVICU, Peds PCU, and General Medical Floors.
  • Willing to float across all units, including neonatal and pediatric populations, with occasional adult caseloads.
  • First-time travelers are welcomed.
  • Traveler’s permanent address must be at least 50 miles from the facility.
  • Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver comprehensive respiratory care using cutting-edge EMR (EPIC) and ventilator technology.
  • Respond rapidly and appropriately in acute care areas like the Emergency Department and critical pediatric units.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure quality patient outcomes.
  • Document interventions and patient responses accurately.
  • Adhere to infection control and facility safety standards.
