Located in the heart of southern Idaho, this travel assignment offers you the chance to expand your skills while taking in the rugged beauty and unique charm of the region. With its scenic canyons, nearby hot springs, and vast opportunities for outdoor exploration, your days off can be filled with memorable adventures. Working in this role will boost your professional growth through exposure to a patient population ranging from neonates to geriatrics, along with the support of a seasoned respiratory therapy leadership team.

This 13-week assignment in a modern, progressive department will allow you to collaborate with clinicians from varied backgrounds, broadening your exposure to different workplace practices. From advanced ventilator management in a level III NICU to supporting adult critical care in the ICU and ER, you’ll deepen your expertise while being introduced to new devices and clinical protocols. Self-scheduling and the option for block scheduling provide flexibility to make the most of your downtime, whether for rest or local discovery.

Schedule & Shift Details:

  • 12-hour shifts, 6:00 am – 6:00 pm
  • Every other weekend required
  • Self-scheduling, block scheduling available
  • Department meeting required once per month
  • Qualifications:

  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (CRT or RRT)
  • Active BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications
  • STABLE and NRP required only for those working with NICU
  • At least one year of experience required; NICU experience necessary
  • Open to first-time travelers
  • Experience with ABGs, vents, BiPAP/CPAP, and assisting with intubation
  • Responsibilities:

  • Deliver care across ICU, stepdown, MedSurg, ER, NICU, and small Peds unit
  • Perform ABGs, breathing treatments, manage a variety of ventilators
  • Assist with bedside bronchoscopies and airway management
  • Floating among ICU, floors, NICU, and ER
