This opportunity places you at a renowned academic medical center, designated as a Level 1 Trauma and Chest Pain Center, providing outstanding exposure to complex patient populations and cutting-edge respiratory care practices. You’ll collaborate with a seasoned team supported by experienced Lead Therapists and benefit from a strong culture of mentorship and teamwork. With a dynamic caseload—ranging from post-surgical to critical cardiac and pulmonary diagnoses—each shift is an opportunity to sharpen your skills and expand your professional toolkit.

Schedule/Hours:

  • 18:30 – 07:00, every 6 weeks schedule cycle
  • Every other weekend rotation
  • No on-call requirement
  • Travel RRTs work 75% of holidays (with manager-approved RTO)
  • Desired Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years of respiratory therapy critical care experience
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT); NC License required
  • BLS and ACLS (for Adult RT)
  • BLS, PALS & NRP (for NICU/Peds RT)
  • CRT is acceptable, RRT preferred
  • Previous Level 1 trauma or high-acuity experience highly valued
  • EPIC EMR experience and proficiency with Servo U, Servo Air, The Vest, Volara, Aerogen, Heated High Flow, Cough Assist; HFJV/HFOV for pediatric assignments
  • Core Responsibilities:

  • Deliver critical care to a diverse patient population across the ICU, medical/surgical floors, and emergency department
  • Implement and manage advanced respiratory therapies and technology
  • Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams to provide high-quality, evidence-based care
  • Support continuous improvement efforts and contribute to an environment of teamwork and learning
