This role places you at the heart of diverse respiratory care within a prominent facility, where you’ll work alongside a skilled team supporting both pediatric and adult patients. Exposure to complex cases in a tertiary, teaching, and level 1 trauma environment provides valuable opportunities to refine your practice, learn from diverse workflows, and understand a range of care models. Working here enhances your resume while expanding your expertise across acute, critical, pediatric, and neonatal respiratory care units.

Schedule/Hours:

  • 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
  • 36 guaranteed hours per week
  • Weekend and on-call requirements (2 hours for oncoming shift)
  • Key Qualifications:

  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required
  • 3+ years’ experience, preferably in a tertiary teaching hospital or level 1 trauma center
  • Experience across adult acute/critical, NICU/PICU, acute care pediatrics, and ED settings
  • Certifications: BLS required; ACLS preferred; NRP required for NICU
  • Proficiency with ventilators (Drager V500/VN500, Hamilton T1/C1, Respironics V30/V60, Trilogy, Airvo, Vapotherm)
  • EPIC charting experience an asset
  • Strong teamwork, adaptability, and communication skills
  • Role Responsibilities:

  • Deliver comprehensive respiratory care throughout all units within a large facility
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to cover a broad patient population
  • Float between units including NICU, PICU, adult and pediatric acute and critical care, and the ER
  • Use advanced respiratory equipment and implement best practices in ventilator management
