An opportunity is available for an experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist to provide care on a 12-hour day shift. This contract role offers the chance to work with a dynamic healthcare team and make an impact on patient outcomes. The schedule consists of three 12-hour shifts per week (07:00-19:00), and participation in a weekend rotation is required every other weekend. Holiday coverage is expected, with travelers working approximately 75% of holidays. No on-call or call-back duties are included. Flexibility to float between facilities within the regional healthcare network may be necessary, supporting a variety of patient demographics.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credentials
  • Valid state licensure as required for practice
  • Demonstrated proficiency in performing respiratory care assessments, interventions, and therapies in acute care settings
  • Solid understanding of ventilator management, airway care, ABG sampling, and patient monitoring
  • Adaptability and willingness to float between regional facilities, including pediatric assignments as needed
  • BLS certification required; ACLS and PALS preferred
  • Previous experience with adult and pediatric populations is a plus
  • Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess, plan, and implement respiratory care for patients requiring specialized interventions
  • Provide patient and family education regarding respiratory therapies and equipment
  • Monitor and optimize ventilator settings to achieve desired patient outcomes
  • Accurately document all patient care activities and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams
  • Assist with rapid response and emergency resuscitation efforts as needed
  • Maintain equipment, adhere to infection control protocols, and ensure patient safety throughout procedures
