Qualifications:

Active credential as a Respiratory Therapist (RT) or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)

Current state licensure (or eligibility) as required

Experience in acute care, critical care, or hospital-based respiratory therapy strongly preferred

Familiarity with ventilator management, oxygen therapy, and airway clearance techniques

Strong assessment, communication, and documentation skills

CPR/BLS certification (and other advanced certifications as required)

Ability to collaborate with an interdisciplinary care team

Responsibilities:

Assess, plan, and implement respiratory care modalities in accordance with physician orders and clinical protocols

Deliver therapeutic interventions including aerosol medications, chest physiotherapy, and mechanical ventilation management

Monitor patient progress, document changes, and adjust therapeutic plans as needed

Conduct arterial blood gas analysis and interpret results

Instruct patients and their families on respiratory treatments and self-care strategies

Ensure all equipment is properly cleaned, calibrated, and maintained

Abide by infection control policies and safety guidelines within the facility

$1,694 - $1,792/Week Estimated weekly earnings represent hourly wages, based on 40 hours per week, and expense reimbursement for eligible candidates. The actual amount may vary based on hours worked, eligibility for reimbursements, and seasonal adjustments.
