Step into a vital clinical environment as a skilled Respiratory Therapist, delivering important care and support to patients in a hospital setting. Use your advanced knowledge to provide respiratory assessments, interventions, and patient education over a period of 13 weeks. Schedule:

  • 3 shifts per week, 12-hour days
  • 7:00 am to 7:30 pm
  • Specific days to be determined during the interview process
  • Qualifications:

  • Current credentials as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
  • Valid Connecticut state license
  • Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Previous experience in a hospital or acute care environment preferred
  • Strong communication and critical thinking skills
  • Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform respiratory therapy procedures, including administering oxygen therapy, mechanical ventilation, and aerosol treatments
  • Conduct patient assessments and monitor respiratory status
  • Collaborate with physicians and healthcare staff to develop and implement individualized care plans
  • Provide education to patients and their families on respiratory care techniques and equipment use
  • Accurately document all treatments, responses, and progress in the electronic medical record
