This travel assignment is tailored for skilled Registered Respiratory Therapists with specialized experience in NICU transport. Schedule:

  • 2-3 shifts per week
  • Professional Background & Experience:

  • At least 2 years’ NICU transport experience required
  • RRT/CRT and NRP certification; PALS required, STABLE preferred
  • Advanced neonatal airway/ventilation skills: Mask ventilation, stabilization, ventilator management (conventional, HFOV, CPAP/NIV, HFNC), transport ventilators
  • Knowledge of transport physiology, isolette operations, EMS integration, safety protocols, and critical neonatal conditions (RDS, MAS, PPHN, BPD, sepsis)
  • Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform neonatal airway management including bag-mask ventilation and advanced airway securement
  • Safely operate Hamilton/Cross Vent and TXP equipment and troubleshoot during transport
  • Integrate EMS safety standards and manage equipment power/gas supply in both ground and air transport
  • Assist with point-of-care testing and line placements (PIV, UVC)
  • Communicate effectively with team members and partner facilities; thorough documentation of patient status and interventions
