Step into a dynamic clinical environment as a Registered Respiratory Therapist, delivering specialized care within a Respiratory NICU/PICU unit at a prominent tertiary care and teaching facility. This contract opportunity places you alongside a team-oriented department consisting of a Director, Manager, Supervisor/Charge Therapist, and experienced staff, providing critical interventions for neonates, pediatrics, and adult populations.

Schedule and Hours

  • Contract position (duration as specified by facility)
  • Rotating shifts; specific scheduling provided during interview
  • Required Qualifications:

  • Valid Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential
  • Active certifications in BLS, NRP, and PALS
  • Minimum of 2 years’ current acute care hospital RRT experience
  • Proven competency managing high flow devices, 3100A Oscillators, Bunnell ventilators, Servos, Nitric Oxide, Heliox systems, continuous and regular nebulizers
  • Strong documentation skills with direct Meditech experience (highly preferred)
  • Demonstrated experience in NICU/PICU settings performing advanced respiratory procedures
  • Preferred Experience:

  • Prior use of the Meditech documentation system
  • Candidates with advanced NICU/PICU competencies will be considered first
  • Core Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert respiratory therapy to patients across all ages, with an emphasis on neonates and pediatrics in a Level 3 NICU and PICU setting
  • Perform assessments, initiate and manage advanced ventilatory modes, and deliver precisely tailored treatments utilizing specialized equipment
  • Document clinical interventions accurately using Meditech
  • Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team focused on patient-centered care in a fast-paced, innovative environment
  • Float as needed to provide therapy on adult units for BIPAP, CPT, and nebulization therapy
  • Desired Qualities:

  • Team player with strong communication skills and a collaborative, patient-focused mindset
  • Silver (light gray) uniform attire required
