Schedule/Hours:

  • Travel assignment; flexibility required
  • Qualifications:

  • Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) license
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Prior experience in critical illness or rehabilitation settings preferred
  • Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert respiratory care and patient transport as medically prescribed
  • Explain treatment procedures and offer patient education at discharge
  • Administer physician-ordered therapies using ventilators (invasive/non-invasive), oxygen/aerosol devices, and nebulizers
  • Conduct patient assessments, develop treatment plans, perform chest physiotherapy and suctioning
  • Execute oximetry, capnography, pulmonary function studies, 12-Lead EKG, and basic arrhythmia recognition
  • Aid with bronchoscopy, tracheostomy care, chest tube placement, and arterial punctures
  • Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot ventilatory equipment, ensuring optimal performance
  • Complete accurate documentation, maintain therapy charging records, and communicate effectively with the clinical team
  • Adhere to laboratory, safety, and infection control policies
  • Respond to emergencies and participate in resuscitative efforts per BLS/ACLS
