This assignment provides robust professional development by immersing you in a large, tertiary teaching facility with multiple specialized units. You'll expand your scope through wide-ranging patient populations, varied equipment, and diverse healthcare teams, positioning you for long-term career advancement and rewarding resume growth.

Schedule:

  • 3x12 hour nights (7 PM–7:30 AM)
  • Multiple openings; 26 weeks preferred
  • Rotating weekends
  • Call required: 2 hours’ notice for oncoming shift
  • Qualifications:

  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required
  • 3+ years of experience, including level 1 trauma or tertiary/teaching hospital settings
  • BLS required; ACLS and NRP preferred (NRP required for NICU assignments)
  • Experience across acute and critical care, including adult, pediatric, NICU, PICU, and ED
  • Strong communication skills, teamwork ethos, adaptable and proactive mindset
  • Responsibilities:

  • Deliver comprehensive respiratory care across a variety of patient populations and levels of acuity
  • Float as needed within NICU, PICU, acute care pediatrics, ED, and adult critical care
  • Operate state-of-the-art respiratory equipment (Drager V500/VN500, Hamilton T1/C1, Respironics V30/V60, and more)
  • Document care and interventions using EPIC EMR
  • Function as part of a team of 14-16 RRTs covering the facility, contributing to a collaborative and supportive therapeutic environment
